Hermon passed away Friday, June 16 at his home.He was born December 13, 1952 in Monroe County, KY to the late Thurman “Sib” Turner and Jennie Christine Gentry Turner. He was a retired construction worker and a farmer. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.He is survived by one son: Chad Love of Glasgow, two daughters: Cybil Bartley and husband MacShane of Tompkinsville, Jennifer Jo Shoemake and husband Paul of Glasgow, one sister: Tenna Cain of Tompkinsville, three brothers: Jackie Turner of Tompkinsville, Mervin Turner of Mt. Hermon, Tim Wood of Glasgow, four grandchildren: Dalton Shoemake, Hunter Love, Ramsey Kate Bartley and Reece Harlan Bartley.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Larry Turner.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 18 at 2:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.Visitation will be after 11:00 AM on Sunday until time of service at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the Bethlehem Cemetery or American Heart Association.

The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017. The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Danny Sellars, is 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Bethlehem Cemetery will follow the service. Pallbearers: Cheryl Henry, Bubba Jennings, Chuck Totten, Henry Stamps, Joe Scarpaci, and Buck Hall. The family extends a special thank you to Stacy Stamps.Mr. Jennings is survived by daughters Melissa Jennings and Christie Morris (Tony), granddaughter Sarah Raines, brother Dan Jennings (Marty), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was born July 1, 1933 in Monroe County, KY to the late William Fondis Turner and Grace Deweese Turner. He was a farmer and a US Air Force Veteran. He was united in marriage on August 8, 1956 to LaRue Rich Turner who preceded him in death on September 13, 2011, he was united in marriage on November 4, 2012 to Brenda Clark Steenbergen.He is survived by his wife: Brenda Turner of Tompkinsville, one son: Tim Turner and wife Kristin of Tompkinsville, one step son: Brent Steenbergen and wife Denise of Ft. Run, two brothers: Charles Turner of Freedom, Gene Turner of White Oak Ridge Community, three sisters: Brenda Chaplin and Edna Jordan both of Tompkinsville, Debbie Gray of Glasgow, one granddaughter: Emma Turner, five step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.In addition to his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by one brother: Ronnie Turner and a step daughter: Donna Freeman.Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, April 4 at 10:00 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with cremation to follow.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 3 and after 7:30 AM on Tuesday until time of service.Memorials are suggested to the Turner Cemetery or Bethlehem Cemetery.
